Right now I am reading World War Z by Max Brooks. It is a collection of individual accounts of a zombie war told in first person. Now I know what you are thinking...why in the world are you reading a zombie book. The answer is simple really! My favorite TV show is the walking dead. Now if you've never seen the walking dead, it basically follows a group of people in a Zombie Apocalypse as they try to stay alive. It's probably the best show i've ever seen in my life.
Anyways, back to the book. One of the reasons I like this book is because it is a collection of individual stories. If you don't know what I mean by that, think of story core. Remember in 7th grade how we saw the different stories all mashed into one subject. Its like that! Except its one scientist recording all of these peoples stories. It takes you threw the first outbreak, attacks, individual struggles, and (even though I haven't gotten to it yet) defeating the zombies. Its a really good book. You should read it, and if you like it watch the walking dead!

Lily! I couldn't stop laughing from its really simple... I've heard of that show, but never watched it! Maybe I should start next week??
ReplyDeleteWow Lily, I honestly never thought of you as someone who watches or reads zombie shows or books. Lately I've wanted to watch a episode of The Walking Dead but I get so caught up in my schedule. I'll look into World War Z whenever I finish with my list of books.
ReplyDeleteThis book and the show seems pretty interesting. I think I saw an episode of The Walking Dead before and it was really good.
ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about _World War Z_ and will have to give it a try. Lily, try to be a bit more formal in your writing (no "anyways") and watch for spelling issues, "response," "through," "it's" vs. "its," and capitalizing "I" were some issues that stood out to me here. I like that you made a connection to Story Corps. (I know, you would never expect that to sound like "core," but that is the word).
